A MOTHER'S FINAL PRAYER

Don't sorrow for me, though my mind may be gone,
And left this body, which still lingers on.
I remembered God's promise to all of mankind,
And left, just a little ahead of time.

Though a burden of love, to my body you bear.
Just try to remember, I'm not really there.
The machinery's still running, but my soul's gone ahead.
Don't sorrow for me, as there's no word as dead.

This body of sorrow, disappointment, and pain,
Are all left behind, as I'm on a new plain.
When God and our Saviour are ready for you,
Don't sorrow for me, for I'll be there, too..
